What To Know About Rottweiler Breeder
When thinking about bringing a new puppy, like that of the Rottweiler, into your home and hearts you need to take some time and put extra thought into where the puppy is actually coming from, who raised it, and what it’s environment was like.
These types of breeders often are the ones that can be spotted if you are paying close enough attention. Remember that it will be hard to tell what type of breeder the person is over the phone.
You will have to actually be in the location where the breeding and raising takes place in order to get a good feel for the environment. When you visit the pup’s home, you will want to pay extra close attention to some things that are going on around you.
Make sure that you closely pay attention to how the puppies act or behave around the Rottweiler breeder. If there seems to be a certain amount of fear in the puppy, then there is a good chance that there has been some sort of emotional or physical abuse taking place.
Make sure to pay close attention to how the puppy acts around both the breeder and other people, including yourself and your kids. By watching the behavior of the puppy around different types of people may be able to give you a clear sign of whether or not that puppy has suffered abuse. Because there are several medical and emotional problems that your dog could suffer as a result of abuse, you will want to avoid dogs that have been a victim of their caretakers.
A good way to see who is and who is not a good choice to buy from is to ask a lot of questions. But first, to protect yourself with knowledge, you will want to research everything you can first so that your decisions will be based on fact. But after you have done your research on the breed, make a list of questions that all educated Rottweiler breeders should know the answers to. If the breeder you are seeking with does not want to take the time to help you, walk away and find your new puppy somewhere else.
It is advisable to make a list of questions to ask the Rottweiler breeders, even if you already know the answers. The key to this is to pretend that you need their assistance in answering some questions and concerns and this will help test their own knowledge of the breed.
For Rottweiler breeders, the simple questions you would ask should not pose a problem at all and any decent breeder should be more then happy to answer all of your questions. Avoid any Rottweiler breeders who seem impatient or unconcerned with your questions. Someone who does not want to take the time to help you either doesn’t know the facts about the animal they are breeding or they could just care less. Either way, these are breeders who you want to avoid.
