Get a Goldfish Now

by John Smith

Everyone likes to own a pet. From dog lovers to cat lovers to snake lovers, there is a pet for everyone. While everyone wants to own a pet, a lot of people don’t have the time or skill to take care of them. Dogs, cats, and birds require a lot of love and attention that some people just don’t have. For people who want a pet but don’t have time, a goldfish is the perfect choice for you.

Goldfish are pretty cheap pets. They start at only a few dollars for the small common goldfish. Some of the bigger species of goldfish, like Koi, can be very expensive. However, for the common person, who is just looking to keep a fish in a small tank, you can buy these fish in any pet store. You only need to take them out in a small bag of water too which is also very convenient.

Another bonus for goldfish owners is that they require little treatment. Once you buy the tank and the fish, there is no other money to be spent. This makes goldfish the cheapest pet around. Whereas with dogs, cat, or other pets, you might have to take them to the vet for check up, pills, or other medication, you don’t have to do this with goldfish. Getting a goldfish instead of another type of animal can save you thousands a year in vet bills.

Goldfish are easy to take care of. They only need to be feed a small meal once a day. You can buy proper goldfish food at your local fish store. To clean their tank, you simple need to take the goldfish out of the tank and put it in warm tap water. Then clean the tank thoroughly and put the fish back in room temperature water. This should be done every few weeks. That is all the care goldfish need.

Moreover, when a goldfish does die, you can simply flush it down the toilet. Dead goldfish can be disposed off quite conveniently with a single flush. However, if your children get emotionally attached, then you can indulge in a burial process or a funeral ceremony is your back garden.

Very commonly considered an ideal pet for small children, goldfish come across as pets that are endearing and affectionate, easy to care and maintain for and a delight to watch, particularly for those who have never had the opportunity to care for a living creature before. These fish make great pets and though you can pet them or have them sleep with you, it is very peaceful to just watch them swim around.
