Cat Litter Boxes With Crystals Work Magic For The Cat And Owner Alike
The invention of cat litter in a crystal form may not rank as one of the world’s greatest innovations, but it has made an unpleasant job a lot easier. Litter has changed very little since it was first introduced, though when the scoopable variety first hit the market, it did cut down on wholesale daily removing duty. Yet the problem of odor still was not addressed.
No one wants first time guests in their home to immediately ask if you have a cat. Unfortunately unless a cat owner has been willing to go to the expense and bother of emptying the entire litter box every day, chances are that some odor lingers, especially in homes with more than one cat. No matter how lovable the cat, its daily constitutional is not something that the family, let alone visitors, wants or needs to share.
The invention of cat litter that is crystal based has been a blessing in removing tell-tale cat odors. The Fresh Step brand of litter provides a variety of litters for the discerning cat owner. It uses crystals that have silica gel as their base ingredient. Their mineral based crystals are like liquid magnets, absorbing moisture immediately.
Trapping liquid and holding it until it can evaporate is the magic behind this product and its amazing odor reducing properties. Fresh Step’s Plus Dual Action Crystals combines two types of odor eliminators, the crystals and scoopability. This dynamic duo means that a cat owner may be able to get 30 days out of a lining of litter before having to do a total rehab and replacement.
The early versions of crystal cat litter could be irritating to some cats’ paws. The Fresh Step innovators developed very small crystals which are sensitive to furry friends’ feet. Their shape is also designed to reduce the amount of litter leaving the box, a sort of anti-scatter technology.
Most of us would prefer to talk about anything other than cat litter and rarely spend much timing thinking about it. However, for the true cat fan, crystal litter box filler has improved what used to be a pretty horrible job. With odor absorbency that has been reported to be five times greater than traditional clay litters, this is a product well worth investigating.
